Okay, so I’m not real great at putting out this whole book-of-the-month thing, but for now this is what has captured our interest. For me, it’s been St. Augustine’s Confessions by the man himself. As a fellow single unwed father, struggling with where he wanted to end up in life, his voice and experience touch me like few other theologians have been able to.
As for my son, well, it’s a perinnaully favorite topic – Dinosaurs, but this time, the topic IS the book title and what a book!! It’s a coffee table book that is beautifully illustrated and very informative. He loves it. Not to mention another of our favorites by one of the most intelligent, kind, handsome and prolific childrens authors of all time – Shel Silverstein. If you’ve never read Lafcadio, you really should. You owe it to your inner lion.
